1968 Porsche 912 Resto Mod

This is a 1968 Porsche 912 imported to Dubai from the United States. It has matching numbers and is restored to its original Tangerine colour.

While restoration, its engine and transmission was completely cleaned and rebuilt with the stock barrels swapped for big barrels – 1750cc. The whole suspension setup was also stripped and rebuilt.

The car was completely stripped and new floor panels added and all its rust was cut out and replaced with new metal that was welded in place. There were no shortcuts used in restoring the bodywork of this car.

The mileage is original. It has 25k kms on the clock with 500kms odd driven after restoration.

Porsche enthusiasts will notice its original 1968 Fuchs wheels with new Kumho tires that give it an aggressive stance. It also has all new rubbers, seals and weather strips along with European lights and indicators.

This iconic car is better than new, turns heads and receives admiration wherever it goes. Max Garage has been restoring cars in Dubai for over 30 years and has a solid reputation for good quality and workmanship.

The car has many modifications including a RSR style center hood refueling system – fender filler eliminated, outside trim and majority of emblems eliminated and the interior is finished in RSR style with era correct hounds tooth sport seats.

There is exposed paintwork on the inside tunnel and the whole interior has Rennline aluminium interior race accents.

To add a dash of modernity, it has a hidden, high quality amplifier and speakers with media player connection in dash. To top it all, a Momo sports steering wheel completes the whole sporty interior.
